Kuni BMW Receives Women’s Choice Award

April 12, 2012  |  Dealership News

Women's Choice Award logoTwo weeks ago, Kuni BMW proudly accepted the Women’s Choice Award, by WomenCertified®, the voice of female consumers. Based entirely on a consumer survey, the award is achieved when female consumers advocate a business as a place they would recommend to other women in their community.

Since women account for 85% of consumer purchases, it would make sense that companies align their business practices to suit women’s needs. Apparently, women have even higher expectations than men when it comes to consumerism implying that if a company can win the women over, it will be a breeze to satisfy the men consumers as well.

Kuni BMW is proud to achieve such an award, on top of being named a BMW Center of Excellence for the fourth year in a row, a feat that only a handful of BMW dealerships have achieved across the whole nation.

We’re giving away Free Wine Tasting Certificates every day this week!

With all the Egg Hunting on Sunday, Kuni BMW got a little jealous and decided to throw their own “Egg Hunt” of sorts. Only the prizes won’t be colored eggs with sparkles. Rather, the prizes will be closer to wine that sparkles! That’s right, we have four amazing Gift Certificates to give away from four of Oregon’s prestigious wineries.

HOW TO WIN:

1. Each day of this week, starting today (April 10th) and BEGINNING AT 1PM, we will be hiding a winery logo somewhere on our website. They could be anywhere on the website, so look carefully. The one logo remaining is:

Archery Summit

2. When you find a logo, use the code below the logo and Visit Here to enter the code and claim the prize.

Good luck and happy hunting! We had a lot of fun Tuesday hiding the Domaine Drouhin logo on a photo of one of our 5 Series. It took only a few hours until we had a winner. Wednesday, we hid the Bethel Heights logo on a Z4, and our lucky winner found it within 20 minutes. BMW i8 Spyder Concept

April 2, 2012  |  Technology

BMW i8 Spyder

Based on BMW’s experimental i8 hybrid, this i8 Spyder Concept is introduced with a few key modifications such as a two-section folding roof, upward opening doors and “improved” looks. A 131 horsepower electric motor drives the front wheels, and a 223 horsepower turbocharged gas three-cylinder powers the rear wheels – a configuration that allows for front wheel, rear wheel or all wheel drive. It’s plenty fast too, with a 0-62mph clocked at 5 seconds and best of all, an outstanding fuel economy of 78 mpg. If all that isn’t enough, there are two electric scooters laying underneath the rear glass panel.

BMW 2012 Olympics

BMW, the Official Automotive Partner to the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games, has just delivered its 40 first vehicles to be used for the summer games. These BMWs will be part an entire fleet consisting of electric, diesel and hybrid cars, and will achieve LOCOG’s strict 120g CO2/km emissions target.

Tim Abbott, Managing Director of BMW Uk said:

“BMW’s Olympic fleet needs to be varied to deal with the complex operational demands of the Games time effort. We were selected as a partner based on our ability to provide such a diverse fleet that could achieve the challenging emissions threshold as set by the LOCOG. The Games fleet will include our class leading efficient diesels, hybrids, electric vehicles and even bicycles. We are extremely proud for our cars to be involved in the London 2012 Games and are excited about seeing them in full service this summer in these eye-catching designs.”

2013 BMW X6 to arrive this spring

March 23, 2012  |  Future BMW

2013 BMW X6

BMW has just set the bar even higher with its one-of-a-kind Sports Activity Coupe, the X6. The X6 is the world’s first Sports Activity Coupe – an aggressive blend of an SUV with the stance and sporty frame of a coupe. For the 2013 model year, the X6 will be refreshed with light-emitting diodes, front and rear. Choices in engine power will range from powerful to more powerful (or in other words) the X6 xDrive35i with a 300-hp inline six-cylinder engine to the beefed up X6 xDrive50i model with a 400-hp twin-turbo V8. And for those who desire even more horsepower, they can opt for the M Performance package, an upgrade of 15 hp, plus spiffed out 20″ wheels, black chrome exhaust tips, stainless steel pedals and other trim details.

Upgraded models will sport LED headlights in front with BMW’s distinctive luminous rings, creating the brand’s hallmark look as a glowing light mass.

Nevada leather is standard, with Nappa leather available as an added luxury option. A third row bench seat will be available to accommodate those extra passengers.

If all this isn’t enough, buyers can opt for the outrageously, off-the-charts powerful X6 M, boasting 555-hp and a six-speed automatic.

The X6 will arrive in showrooms sometime this spring.
