At Kuni BMW, we were very excited to take delivery of our very first BMW i8 this month! As you may know, the i8 is BMW’s first Hybrid Electric Sports car. Kuni Automotive was able to donate two BMW i8’s to the Classic Wines Auction earlier this year which generated $480,000 in revenue and approximately $300,000 in net donations to the Auction. The Classic Wines Auction supports the good work of Oregon and Washington non-profit organizations by providing funds to help children and families in the area. Tuesday night we hosted a small celebration at the dealership and delivered the i8 to its new owners!
There was much anticipation to unveil the i8!
Guests checked out the car and congratulated the new owners!
Another i8 will be offered at this year’s auction! Additional information can be found on the Classic Wines Auction Website.

The UN4GETTABLE test drive came to Kuni BMW last week! The event was a chance for our customers to drive the all new 4 Series and compare it to competitor models.
The 4 Series is a completely new model for BMW. It is available in a 2 door coupe, a 4 door Gran Coupe, and a convertible model. By holding this test drive event we wanted to show customers that the 4 series really is more car than a 3 Series. The 4 is lower, lighter and sportier than a 3. Not only that, but we wanted to show how it stacked up to the competition.
After signing up to participate,
And enjoying some delicious appetizers from Elephants Delicatessen,
We invited guests to check out some BMW accessories,
And then check out the cars available for comparison.
All versions of the 4 Series were available for test driving, as well as an Audi, Mercedes and Lexus.
Guests had a great time experiencing the 4 Series. If you missed the event and would like to see the all new 4 Series for yourself, we have several available right now. Check out our 4 series Inventory
and contact a client adviser at (503) 828-0936 to schedule a VIP appointment today!

This week at the Shanghai International Auto Show, BMW reveled the exterior of what they’re calling the 2014 BMW Concept X4. Taking a number of design cues from it’s older and larger brother, the X6, the X4 is BMW’s newest 5-door Sports Activity Coupe. The X4 is slated for a likely 2014 model year release and will be produced at BMW’s Spartanburg, SC facility.
Sharing a platform with the BMW X3 means a reliable chassis, but each body panel is constructed unique for the X4 giving the distinctive styling that typifies the BMW Sports Activity Coupe body style.
Although interior options and power train details have not yet been released we expect the power plant offerings for the X4 to include the TwinPower Turbo 2.0 liter 4-cylinder motor and the turbocharged 3.0 inline 6-cylinder. We’re also hopeful for a diesel offering from BMW on this smaller, sleeker SAC.
We also expect the X4 will share many of the high end interior components it’s cousin the X3 has. The Spartanburg, South Carolina production facility recently underwent a multi-million dollar expansion, allowing it the capacity to produce more models, such as the X4.Share on Facebook
When people think about the BMW brand, they don’t think about it as a collection of vehicles. Rather, BMW represents a spirit that values quality, attention to detail, and a rich history. The BMW Spirit is captured perfectly in this episode of Cars I See, in which David Duran showcases his classic 1987 BMW 325i, explaining that to him, it is more than just a car.

BMW has begun offering a much more personalized, intimate way to listen to radio for BMW drivers with BMW Apps and Mini Drivers with Mini Connected. This new update comes in the form of a fully-integrated Stitcher SmartRadio™ App experience for any compatible vehicles. More than just a simple radio app, the Stitcher SmartRadio™ App allows BMW and Mini Drivers to create their own personal talk radio stations by selecting content and programs that they enjoy to form a seamless radio listening experience that is expertly tailored to the driver’s interest. In addition to providing access to programs that the driver already enjoys, the App will make suggestions about possible programs that the driver might be interested in, based on the preferences that he or she has already expressed. This groundbreaking partnership between Stitcher and BMW is, in part, an attempt to allow BMW and Mini Drivers to have access to the same functionality in their cars that they possess in their smartphones.Share on Facebook
